Running the SoundDetector Mipsplugin which uses video + audio signal from an Axis camera
the Smart Client throws the exception: Device FQID has not been set or no audio devices available
Microphone is operational and confirmed to be working in the Management Client as well as on the Axis hardware.
What could be at fault here?
Before we dive in to the issue, please verify if the microphone works in Smart Client without any plugins.
We have arrived at the hypothosis that the lack of an actual sound card or virtual audio card is the issue. The management server is not running any audio services. The exact same setup works on another pc and virtual machine where an audio card is present. is this a feasible hypthosis?
