Required Network Ports for MIP SDK Integration and Smart Client Connectivity

Hi,

Could you please advise which network ports need to be opened between a new client PC/Server and a Milestone VMS server when integrating using the MIP SDK?

The application requires functionalities such as camera discovery, live and playback streaming, alarm and event retrieval, PTZ control, and preset operations.

Is there a list of the required ports for these functionalities, or any official documentation that specifies the network ports and protocols used for MIP SDK communication?

Additionally, are there any optional ports that may need to be opened depending on the system configuration or deployment (for example, the Recording Server, Event Server, or Management Server)?

Also, are there any additional ports that need to be opened for the Milestone Smart Client to function correctly?

The MIP SDK does not require any special ports beyond those already used by the XProtect system and Smart Client. In general, if the Smart Client can connect and operate successfully, a MIP SDK integration should be able to do the same.
