restore missing video programmatically

Hi,

We have some missing videos from recording server that we want to restore.

Can you direct towards some examples or help materials so we can insert/restore the video into recording server?

We would like to do this programmatically , media c++ toolkit or any other

It is an important part of the security statement of Milestone XProtect VMS that you cannot modify recorded footage or add extra footage later.

The only exception is when using devices with edge recording support, when the drivers include functionality to later retrieve footage from the edge storage supporting device.

@Bo Ellegård Andersen (Milestone Systems) Got it , but we have some edge video that we want to put since that portion timeline video is not available in recording server.

is there no way to put the missing video programmatically?

We have some video that is recorded from same camera on another server, how do we copy that recording to the server that has missed

how do we restore that?

No.

If you could do this you would also be able to add extras. As I said first: It is an important part of the security statement of Milestone XProtect VMS that you cannot modify recorded footage or add extra footage later.
