Sample App crashed with IQEye camera IQ762NI

I am running a Milestone Server with 3 cameras: Panasonic WV-SP302, Axis 221, IQeye IQ762NI-V16 on machine A. Then on machine B, I run VideoViewer sample app from Milestone SDK ComponentSamples. The app was running fine for Panasonic and Axis cameras, but when I tried to access IQeye camera, it crashed!

Similarly, when I run the ExportSample app, the same problem occurs. It again crashed on the IQeye camera, while runing fine on the others.

I am using Milestone SDK 2013, and the Milestone Server version is 8.6d, device pack version: 7.7 (the lastest I downloaded from Milestone website).

Pls check if your computer has a Haswell CPU (use the free CPU-Z tool for that). If yes, do either of the following

  • change the video from MPEG / H.264 to JPEG
  • try on a computer with a non-Haswell CPU
  • read Milestone KB article #1907 and follow the instructions.

You go to milestonesys.com.

Click on “Support”

Click on “Knowledge Base Articles”

In the search field, enter “1907” and press “Search”. I have checked it, it works.
