- Is there any performance requirement or limits with the performance of the Milestone MIP SDK interface?
- We need the detailed description of the data being presented to SCADA e.g. what format, text strings numerical etc. An example would be helpful?

There is no SCADA support in the MIP SDK. There is some thing else, a free software (no support) OPC server DA 2.0, it might fit what you are seeking. See here (https://force.milestonesys.com/support/MccRedir?art=000001748&lang=en_US)
Dear Team, I think there is misunderstanding. SCADA team will create their own application. SCADA will integrate to Milestone & it’s not that Milestone needs to manage SCADA points. In other words we need to ask how they can use MIP SDK to create their own application/Plug-in which will work with Milestone. There is a lot of samples in the MIP SDK, Please download it install it in a strong developer PC with Visual Studio 2016.

There is no specification how the developer machine or your XProtect test setup should look like.

I am afraid I do not understand this question. Using the MIP SDK you have access to camera information like camera names etc.
I suggest you install the MIP SDK, as first samples to explore I recommend the VideoViewer sample and the ConfigAccessViaSDK.

Using the MIP SDK you have access to camera information like camera names etc. Is this mean that they will not be able to control the camera (start feeding / recording … etc)??? The answers might be cut a little short. Please take the time to download and do a little first hand exploring. The MIP SDK does require some developer experience, best and most easy is working with the .NET library. Likewise it is a good idea to have experience using the Milestone XProtect VMS.
Once you have the MIP SDK you might have new questions. Do not hesitate to ask (perhaps start a new thread)..
