Hello, in 2017 we made an integration to get video stream using SDK MIP 2017R1. Today I have a request from a customer who wants to purchase XPROTECT 2020R3. So my question - if my software with SDK 2017R1 can recieve the video streams from XPROTECT 2020R3?
Generally, we expect that it is possible but 2017 R1 sounds very old so we recommend you to test first. Also please use newest SDK, you should be able to read all about it in this knowledge base article – https://developer.milestonesys.com/s/article/about-MIP-SDK-compatibility-with-XProtect-product-versions But again, please test it if you update it because 2017 to 2020 is a huge jump so we strongly recommend for you to test first at any rate.
