smart client video problem

Hello,

I just upgraded to Enterprise R16. My Smart Client will not pull any video. Does anyone know what I should do?

I would check the connectivity of the Smart Client at TCP Ports 80 and 1237 from a Command line, like this:

  • TELNET [Server name or IP address] [80 and 1237]
  • Check the same from the Server
  • Check the Service account for the Image Server and Recording Server services has not changed, and has the correct privileges (for storage, network etc.)
  • Finally, check the Firewall does not block any of the inbound ports needed for communication. Turn the Firewall off for a temporary test.
  • Doubleclick the Recording Server tray icon to verify the Cameras are online.
