SnapshotList property in both Alarm and Analytics Events objects says that "If the source is a camera it is not necessary to attach a snapshot from that camera at the time of the alarm"Can someone please elaborate what this exactly means?

I’m listening for analytics events and alarms successfully in my Event Server background plugin, and almost always the SnapshotList is null (empty). Unless an analytics event has been sent via the HTTP SOAP protocol containing images in the XML attribute.

How can I make sure that events and alarms generated from within the VMS (e.g. on motion detection) have a populated SnapshotList with 3 to 6 images?

I’m guessing some Management Client settings will need to be changed. So, yes, I suppose this is both a development and VMS config question.

Thank you.

Snapshots should only be used in the rare cases where they for some reason differs from the recordings of the system and they can only be populated by an external sender. Internally generated events and alarms will never populate the snapshots and always depends on recorded video for image display.
