Support for offline recording server

Hi,
I have a driver integration and got this question from a customer:

The way this is setup, the management server and the recording server are in different geographical locations and on totally separate networks. These two networks are not connected to each other in anyway, no VPNs or anything like that.

I’m curious, how does this work? And will my driver still work in this setup?

If I just test to stop the Management server my integration doesn’t work. For example VideoOS.Platform.SDK.RemoteRetrievalTasks.RetrievalTaskManager.Connect() fails.

What you describe will not work. The XProtect VMS requires that the Management Server and Recording Server can communicate. If your customer has an existing installation please ask again for further details, it could be that the remote location has a Management Server, or there is a different setup that makes Management Server, Recording Server and camera communication work.
