Trigger Motion event via XML

I’m sorry if this has been asked and answered, but I tried to find a solution and I’m coming up short.

I have no issues to set up an Analytics Event and trigger it remotely, event works, rules fire and I get all the appropriate notifications.

Except - that I can’t seem to trigger a motion event that actually registers as a motion event (i.e. shows up in playback as motion) and not just a random event that happens to be referenced to as motion.

Is there a way to register a “true” motion event through the event server (or another method for that matter), if so - how ?

Does this hold true for all 3rd party plugins (that their motion events will show up as a “plain” event ?
