Using loading MIP plugins from D:\

Hello,

A client of our has installed Milestone on the [D:\drive](file:D:/drive) (I know right?). The client refused to change this stating that it’s a site policy thing.

The problem is that we can’t get the Vanderbuilt intrusion plugin to work. The plugin is installed in C:\ because Milestone does not load plugins placed in a [D:\ProgramFiles\Milestone\MIPPlugins](file:D:/ProgramFiles/Milestone/MIPPlugins) folder. C:\ is the only place were it will load right?

-Can I change the default plugin path to the D:\ drive?

The plugin does not load because it can’t find or locate some missing DLL’s. I don’t know how Vanderbuilt build their plugin but apparently they are using some Milestone DLL’s that I can’t find. I already tried copying every single Milestone DLL to the Vanderbuilt plugin folder no luck.

Correct! You cannot configure Smart Client, Management Client or Event Server to replace [C:\ProgramFiles\Milestone\MIPPlugins](file:C:/ProgramFiles/Milestone/MIPPlugins) with [D:\ProgramFiles\Milestone\MIPPlugins](file:D:/ProgramFiles/Milestone/MIPPlugins) as path where it loads plugins.

Workaround.

Smart Client, Management Client and Event Server will also load plugins from [installfolder]\MIPPlugins
