Hi,
Through the Management Application I can do “replace hardware device” if the mac address of a device has chaned.
I would like to automate this process using the sdk, but am having a hard time figuring out the correct way.
Can someone point me in the right direction?

The replace hardware device is unfortunately a function that is not implemented in the Configuration API. This function is on the wishlist but up until now has not been prioritized and implamented.

Kind of labour intensive in Milestone to replace a camera(lot of steps, and wait time), and replaceing cameras should be one of the most recurrent configuration task in a Milestone system, im kind of surprised that its not higher on the priority list, in the age of automation and all.

I would also like to have this functionality implemented. Its lack prevent us to automate some MIPDriver related tasks like automatic addition, removal and replacement (when the number of channels of the MIPDriver has changed).

It is not in the upcoming 2019R1.
I have indications that suggest this will be prioritized within the year, but I am sorry I cannot say for sure.
