View Groups Permissions Issue? Or a bug?

Milestone XProtect Professional+ 2019 R2 (v13.2a, Build 653)

I think there is some issue with the View Group permissions, or I might be doing something wrong, so thought I’d ask here…

In Management, under Client → View Groups

I have 2 Views in there. Let’s call it View A and View B

Under Security → Roles

I have 2 Roles in there. Let’s call it Role A and Role B

Role A - under Overall Security for View Group, I left this blank. Then under View Group (bottom tab) - I have ticked ‘Read’ for View A and View B

This confirmed as working. I can see both views in the Client.

Now for Role B, under Overall Security for View Group, again, I left this blank. Then under View Group (bottom tab) - I have ticked ‘Read’ for View B only, leaving View A unchecked for Read.

But when I log on, I can still see View A and also View B

How do I get Role B to see View B only and for View A not to come up**?** Am I missing something obvious or is this a bug?

(According to your instructions, it seems like that you might use the same user when you login to Smart Client. Please create two users, one belongs to RoleA and another one belongs to RoleB. Then login to Smart Client with userB and you can only see ViewB. If you have a further question, please go to the support community for getting better help.)

I’m really sorry about this, I am not sure how I ended up posting in the wrong section.

Please feel free to delete this and I will repost it in the correct place if I was not able to achieve after testing your theory.
