What is a "Video Analytics event started" that can be configured in the Managment Client for my Axis camera? How can i generate it?

Inside Managment Client, in Device->Camera->Events i can configure “Video analytics event starte/stopped” for my Axis P1428-E. What is this kind of event (both for milestone and axis)? How can my camera generate this kind of events?

The video analytics event comes in via the device driver, I believe it can be used with Axis ACAP plugin software, you might be able to find information in Axis’ website or ask Axis.
