We have an issue in MIP (MilestoneSystems.VideoOS.Platform.AccessControl version 24.1.1) in “XProtect Smart Client 2025 R1” in which the Access control events were appearing in the “Alarm Manager” Tab but not in “Access Control” Tab. It was working fine (showing events in both tabs) in “XProtect Smart Client 2024 R1"
We upgraded the MIP (MilestoneSystems.VideoOS.Platform.AccessControl version 25.2.1) without changing anything in our logic. This (25.2.1) still showing the events in the access control tab in “XProtect Smart Client 2024 R1”. But in“XProtect Smart Client 2025 R1”, shows the events only in the “Alarm Manager” Tab and not the “Access Control” Tab.
This looks very strange. What version is the XProtect installation that the Smart Clients are connecting to?

Please upload logs from the Event Server and from the Smart Client workstation for us to analyse.
In the Smart Client you will have to enable the logging.
- Go to Settings (gear icon in the upper right corner of the window).
- Go to the Advanced tab.
- Switch Logging (for technical support) to Enabled.
You will find the logs at [C:\ProgramData\Milestone\XProtect](file:C:/ProgramData/Milestone/XProtect) Smart Client.

I had a second look at the logs. I don’t know how I’ve not notice this before, but the event server seems to report problems in connecting to the Gallagher service when polling for events:

Note. The way I read the answer there is an issue with Gallgher integration that is something that Milestone Development will not be able to solve or analyze. You must ask the Gallagher integrator / developer.
I think this case has dragged too long, and I fear that we are no closer with this feedback. Can you please revisit the case and see what the current status is?
