ACM Plug-in connect to access controller

In MIP SDK, the ACM Plugin connect to the access control system.I think the flow chart is:

It is a little complex to develop a access control system,so can I use ACM Plugin connect to access controller directly:

​I found I can add multiple ACM Plugins on the management client.so I think maybe I can use a ACM plugin connect to a access controller,is that possible or may cause any problem?

This is not recommended, since the controllers will be treated as independent systems the following problems will be an effect:

  • cardholders will not be shared across systems.
  • maintainability will suffer (any configuration will have to be repeated).
  • the number of systems will quickly exceed what the VMS is built for handling.

how many systems the VMS support?​

I think I heard that five had been tested. There is no systematic test on this as it was not part of the thinking behind the design that a high number of systems could be a use case scenario.
