This method of triggering Analytics XML events used to work properly in 2024 R2 I believe with the content of the description xml tag being displayed in the instructions section when you open an alarm from the Alarm Manager. But nothing is shown in the instructions section when using XProtect Corporate 2025 R2.
Any clues what’s going on here?

Nope, I was not performing any special setup on the older version.
Well it does seem that even the document you provided is not referring to the existence of the description xml tag to begin with. Is it safe to assume that it’s been discontinued?
As my hunch didn’t fit I tested. I see the behavior you describe. In Smart Client 2025R1 and older I see the instructions field filled, both with instructions from the alarm definition and with Description from the analytics event.
In Smart Client 2025R2 this is omitted. My assumption is that this is a bug and I will report it as such to the Milestone Development.
