I am experiencing an inconsistent behavior in our Milestone XProtect federated environment related to audit logging of video exports.
Issue Description
- When exporting video from any child site, the export is correctly logged in the Audit Log, and the audit entries are included as expected in the exported file.
- However, when performing the exact same export process from our main (parent) site, no audit log entries are generated — not on the main site and not on any child sites.
- The export functionality itself works perfectly in both locations; only the audit logging is missing at the main site level.
Configuration
- Audit logging is enabled and configured on both the main (parent) site and all child sites.
- Federation is active, and exports can be initiated from both parent and child.
- The only difference is that audit logging is successfully captured for exports initiated directly on a child site, but not when the export is initiated from the main/federated site.
