BACNet integration - driver, tools and developer tester software.

Hi,

I would like to ask you about BACNet integrations with XProtect. The BACNet service suplied by Milestone cannot communicate with devices nor as a ‘client’ neither as ‘server’. So, I would like to try to develop by myself. How could I start?

My insight into BACNet is so limited that I would be guessing. One page in the SDK documentation seems relevant..

Which BACNet integration have you tried and what was the problem you faced with it?

So, I wonder whether you had problems with it or some other integration.

I suspect you might not have tried any integrations made by Milestone or third parties.

In that case the answer is that the MIP SDK does not include any information on how to do BacNet, there is no template or sample code. The documentation contains a lot of information about using the MIP SDK but nothing on BACNet.

A last hope could be that other partners that have worked with BACNet will share their experience and answer here in the thread..
