Built my application in XProtect Essential+ 2021 R2. Does it work fine with older version of XProtect Corporate 2020 R2?

Hello,

I developed a rest api application using component integration. Which can extract video and images. I used XProtect Essential+ 2021 R2 for testing.

I want to know if it works fine for XProtect Corporate 2020 R2 as my customer uses this. I need to confirm this before installing my app in their system.

Unfortunately the Rest API is first introduced in 2021 R2. In 2022 R1 and newer it is an integrated part of the XProtect VMS and no extra install is required.

There is no Rest API in older versions and your rest api application will require that you persuade your customer to upgrade.

I build a rest application for my outside apps to interact with my component integration app. I am not using the MIP VMS API.

If you are not using MIP SDK REST API then there is no chance for us to know about it and we cannot comment on it.
