The camera live feed is working fine using the live media SDK but when we perform a milestone recording server failover we lose the live feed and we get a connection to the server lost, even after we restart the application even though the camera GUID is not changing.
what could be causing the issue?
The switch to the recording server failover should be automatic, both in the Smart Client and in the MIP SDK.
Please test first if you have a general issue.
If you test with the Smart Client does it continue to provide live video? If the Smart Client has the same issue you have a general issue and might get better help from the partners using the support community.

Which product and version is the XProtect VMS?
Are you using the newest MIP SDK NuGet to build (currently 23.3.2)?
