Carousel View - Change the camera FQID dynamically

We are checking if there is an option to dynamically change the FQID of a camera for a carousel view. We tried ImageViewerAddon.CameraFQID to change the camera in the Background service, but it does not seem to change the camera. Is there an option to change?
