Change camera view background in Smart Client when no video is available

I’m using 2017 R2. When no video is available, the window shows text such as “Connecting to server failed. Retrying … Camera 1”

Is it possible to configure this message, or at least disable its appearance?

Yes. In Smart Client settings (gear icon in the upper right of the Smart Client main view) on the Application tab find “Camera error messages” configure it using the drop-down.

Thank you. I tried configuring ‘Camera error messages’, and now can display overlay bitmap.

The problem is, that the error/status messages of the camera are presented on top of my overlay, and I did not find a way to hide that.

Did I miss anything

Did you configure ‘Camera error messages’ to ‘Hide’? If you did there should be no ovelay with camera errors.

Yes, I also tried to set as ‘Hide’. In such case there is no error message, but if camera is connected to server, and there is no live feed, I see a message ‘connected to server’. I guess this is visible, as it is not considered as an error.

This is a special case with a specific device though, and not sure if this is the problem needed to be resolved. Will try to work with other cameras, and see if ‘Hide’ is good enough.

Thank you
