Hello,

I saw he email announcing the new encryption feature for 2019 R1.

A couple of questions concerning possible side effects on a component/plugin integration:

  • what do you mean by “direct communication” with the XProtect Recording Server? Our integration only uses the MIP SDK (including the Messaging) and never directly sends data to the Recording Server. If I understand correctly, I should not be impacted by the encryption, right?
  • You mentioned the need to rebuild the integration, I imagine against the new MIP SDK 2019 R1 that will be published next year, right?

Hello. If you consume data from the Recording Server, then you will need to rebuild vs MIP SDK 2019 R1. Nothing else should change.
