configure Event Server from other computer

Hi Everyone,

I install recording server and events Server in two different computer. I don’t know how to configure to run system. I want to use both Event server in my system.

can anyone help me?

The Event Server is a central hub for the event/alarm handling, and the design does not let you have multiple Event servers for each Managament Server.

The exception is in a Milestone Federated Architure (MFA) where you can have several installations (each with its own Managament Server and Event Server) federated into a multi level Parent → Child hierarchy.

you mean, I have Events Server on the one computer, recording server on other computer. there is one Event Server. I don’t know how to configure to link Event Server with Management Client. I attach image about my system. Milestone Server on 1 computer, Event Server on 4 computer. I think I must configure in Tool->registered service of management Client. Can you intruct detail for me?

When using XProtect Enterprise, Professional and Express you will install the recording server and event server in one server.

In XProtect Corporate and Expert the architecture is different, you will typically install a management server and an event server in on server and then have multiple recording servers in other physical servers.

Maybe the chapter in manual or help “Install your system - Custom option” is what you need to see.

If you install the event server elsewhere it should still contact the management server and get the registered services updated so that it is in the list of registered services. But if the event server is not in the registered services it will not work.
