Creating a new VMS but wanting to move legacy cameras from old server to new

Hi

Advice please. I have 2 VMS with their own recording servers, one is on 2016 Milestone and the new one is on 2025.

Is there anyway I can “move” the existing cams etc on to the new VMS, or will I have to increase the licence count on the new VMS and “re-add” the same cameras with a view to then letting the old one run down it’s retention, and eventually decomissioning?

Is there an easier way to do it, or a way to move the data on the old server to the new and still allow it to be viewed on the new VMS

If we built and created a failover server for 2016 and took the primary offline while we did the migrations. Would this work?
