Customers getDevice command returning URLs containing their internal IP address

url http://<customer’s Internet accessible IP address>/onvif/device_service

all the URL’s returned arein this format:

XAddr>http:///onvif/device_service

How do I or the customer get the Onvif bridge to return the Internet IP for the urls returned on the call?

Hi Tim,

We’ve got issue reported during this train and fix has been made to the main branch. It will be available in the incoming 2018 R3 release.

Issue details:

ONVIF Bridge returned always first found first address of first found NIC.

Fix:

Now ONVIF Bridge returns address to which request has been made.

In other words if the request has been made from the internal network, internal address will be reported.

If the request has been made from the external network, external address will be reported.

If however you want to be returned external address on the internal request or vice versa, or there is much more complex network configuration and should be returned other external device address (router, firewall, load balancer, proxy or whatever) this wont be possible.

I don’t think there is concrete release date for 2018 R3 .

Or at least I do not know it :slight_smile:

But it should be somewhere in the beginning of October (first half).
