After updating Milestone SDK from 2020 R3 to 2021 R2 with a patch (https://supportcommunity.milestonesys.com/s/article/XProtect-2021-R2-cumulative-patch-installers?language=en_US) we started encounter a problem with DBExporter every time DBExporter.Path is larger than 131 symbols. It fails immediately with DBExporter.LastError = 1 and DBExporter.LastErrorString = “Error writing to stream!”
I have reproduce the issue as you have described it.
I will report it to Milestone Development as a bug. I will let you know when a solution has been found or a fix has been developed.
The patch installer has be updated. The MIP SDK installer on the same link as you mention above has now been updated and the exporter can make exports to a path of up to 247 characters.
