Does Milestone provide or know of any XPCO system we can test on?

We want to test our code on a system that has a date where there is a daylight savings time event. For example, here in Ontario we make local time changes on first Sunday in November at 2am, and in March the second Sunday at 2am.

Our system here does not have any data upon those dates so testing is impossible unless we wait until March 2023!!

We’re currently using VideoOS.Platform.Data v21.2 on a .NET winforms application.

Unfortunately there is no test system that you can access.

If it is any help; I think if you have a spare server you can setup and manipulate server clock to test.

To my knowledge there is no known issues on daylight saving time shifts.

Thanks for the response. If I change the server clock will I need to re-record?

In the back end of our solution we’re in UTC. It’s some things in our front end that we need to address.

Yes.

(The Milestone Recording Server also works in UTC internally.) The recorded footage is time stamped in the moment it is being recorded. This means that if you want to test with data spanning the Daylight savings change you will have to record.

BTW. As this is not related to software development with the MIP SDK, which is the focus of this forum, please ask again in the support community, you should get better help from the partners using the support community.
