Error connecting to Event server with https

Hi,

Currently, we are integrating our VI Suite with Milestone VMS using our connector based on MIPSDK.

The customer has setup https connection with event server (refer to the image below)

However, when we try to get the alarm client, we are getting the exception “Provided schema is https, expected http”.

We are observing the same behavior when we execute the “AlarmViewer” provided in “ComponentSamples”

Kindly let us know if any additional configuration is required.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, perhaps this configuration is missing…

If you run the Server Configurator, which can be reached from the tray app for Event Server or Management Server, do you have Encryption enabled for all options including “Event Server and add-ons”?

Hi @Bo Ellegård Andersen (Milestone Systems) ,

We have enabled encryption. Please refer to the attached screenshot. Thanks

What version is the MIP SDK - VideoOS.Platform.SDK Nuget? What version is the XProtect site?

Does other things that rely on the Event Server work? -Can you see Alarm Definitions in the Management Client? Can you see Alarms in the Smart Client?

There is probably information in the MIP SDK logs that should give an answer or a clue. ([C:\ProgramData\Milestone\MIPSDK)](file:C:/ProgramData/Milestone/MIPSDK))

Hi @Bo Ellegård Andersen (Milestone Systems) ,

Please find the details below

XProtect - Milestone 2023 R1 (23.1.68.1) (refer to the screenshot below)

We can access Alarm Definition and alarms in the smart client (refer to the screenshot below)

There are no logs in the location ([C:\ProgramData\Milestone\MIPSDK).](file:C:/ProgramData/Milestone/MIPSDK).)

Please also find the version with which you have built the AlarmViewer. You can see it in the build setup or you can just see the version of the VideoOS.Platform.SDK.dll.

I believe the logs in your version of the VMS will be in [C:\ProgramData\Siveillance\MIPSDK,](file:C:/ProgramData/Siveillance/MIPSDK,) I am not 100% sure on the folder name, but it is something indicating Siemens Siveillance, so please have an extra look if the folder name is not exactly as I spell it..
