How can we set IR to on, off or auto in a IR-capable camera trough protocol? Any, SOAP, imageserver or mobile server can be used.
The cameras allow to force IR status in their settings, but we didn’t find the option in the XProtect Management Client.

Hard to answer, without any model stated.
It is not always so that the Milestone driver supports all features. Could be by design (of the driver), or because the camera does not expose this setting in its API.
You better contact the camera team under partner@milestone.dk and ask if the feature is supposed to be there or not.

Meanwhile, to complete my question: At this moment, we have two cameras: A Dahua SD6A230-HN (connected as ONVIF conformant device) and a Samsung SNO-6084R (as Samsung Wisenet Cameras), but our application will work with more models in the future. Through the web setup of the camera, we can force IR status in the Samsung one, in the Dahua we didn’t find the option and it is in auto mode as we can see.
