Generic video plugin + smart wall

Hi Milestone support team, @Bo Ellegård Andersen (Milestone Systems) ,

We have developed Generic video plugin , can the plugin be used on smart wall?

Can smartwall view/monitor support plugin viewitem?

Hi.

Unfortunately no, plugins can’t be used on Smartwall/view. However if you make a viewitem that includes a plugin and you deploy it to Smartwall then it might be possible for you to use the plugin.

you mean we create different views with plugins and then use in smartwall

You can setup Smart Wall viewitem in Smart Client. Click Setup and select your plugin and drag and drop it on a Smart Wall viewItem. It is not view but viewitem. You can use your plugin to Smart Wall in this way.

In Management Client, you can not add your plugin in Smart Wall preset setting. Because in Smart Wall preset configuration, Management Client can only understand cameras.
