I see that the Video Push feature comes with a GPS metadata stream. How do I retrieve the GPS data and show it on a map in the Smart Client?

The metadata collection was implemented as a first phase in a multiphase project to evenually make use of this data for Maps and other features. Currently there is no method/feature in the XProtect Software Suites that takes advantage of this metadata. This is currently under development but I have no timeline for when it will be implemented.
You may be able to make use of it by developing a plugin using the MIP SDK. Information on the MIP SDK can be found:

Is this already a standard function (for corperate) in the Smart Client?
I managed to setup a SmartMap and add the video push camera in the smartmap (but as a fixed icon).
I would like to use to the GPS-metadata from the video push device to see the camera move live in the smartmap. How can this be done in 2019 R1?

This sample does not use Smart Map.
The Smart Map functionality includes putting cameras in the right location based on the cameras positioning information as configured in the Management Client.
The Smart Map functionality does not include any live update based on GPS metadata from the camera.
The Smart Map functionality does not include any live / realtime update based on the cameras positioning information.
In general the Smart Map does not have any live capability.
