Handling events milestone 2014

Hi,

I am trying to integrate with the milestone 2014 corporate version, i have created different alarms with different camera sources, but when i am handling both events i am getting the same source id for both events, even though they are coming from different sources, i cannot determine where is the issue,

Thanks guys.

Is your integration like the Alarm and Event Viewer sample?

Are you using alarms or events?

If you run this sample do you still see the same source for both alarm/events?

  • its like the status demo console.
  • yes i have defined an alarm and it will trigger an user defined event.
  • Yup, i ran the sample and got the same source ID for both cameras.

Thanks for your efforts.

If you run the StatusDemoConsole do you see this?

I believe there was an issue that the “target device id” was not in the sample in older versions. If you have an old MIP SDK please try the newest. I am hoping the newer SDK and sample will fix this and it is not required with a newer recording server version, I did not test with an older server, let me know what you find.

Note. While testing I used ConfigAccessViaSDK to trigger user-defined events including a camera id..

Yup, But the metadata is null,

i am running on the latest SDK version, while the server version is 2014 :\ .

And when running the status session sample with the same events and cameras, i can access the event id, but the array of deviceids is empty

Quick check. Did you do this? If not please try it.. -While testing I used ConfigAccessViaSDK to trigger user-defined events including a camera id.. When you use the Trigger button you are seeing a item-picker and does pick a camera.

Hi

i 've ran the sample, and triggered an user defined event with a camera, and got an empty deviceIDs array,

Furthermore, when referencing an old sdk, with the same solution,

the deviceIds array is no longer available, check the screenshot,

A newer version of XProtect is required. I made the wrong assumption that a newer version of the MIP SDK would be sufficient, but it is required that you have a newer recording server version, so a newer XProtect VMS in all.
