HiWe are using Milestone onvif bridge. Is there any way to get the ID for the secondary stream of the camera?Best regards

Hi Rafael,

Onvif Bridge supports only one camera stream.

Regards

Thanks Georgieva

Ok, but, is there any way to select this stream to the secondary stream, not the primary? We only need secondary stream

Best regards

Currently the onvif bridge does not have any mechanism for selecting a specific stream. It will retrieve the default live stream. The only way to change which stream onvif bridge delivers is to change which stream is tagged as the default live stream, but that will of course affect all users of that camera including smart client or mobile server users.

Hi Rafael,

As Joshua mentioned, you can change the default live stream from Camera Setting tab in Management Client, but this will affect other stream consumers.

Thanks a lot

Please take note of this need. Most video analytics do not need high quality streams (4k, 1080) so it would be ideal to be able to take a normal resolution stream for analysis, without harming the real-time view.

Thanks for the input. We will discuss this.

Hi Rafael,

I’m trying to understand your need and formulate minimal requirement that will met them.

Currently RTSP server uses following address structure:

rtsp://:/<live_or_vod>/<camera_id>

for example :

rtsp://10.4.24.69:554/live/8724d0df-1604-4754-8442-0354ae04afea

Let’s assume that we extend it in following way:

rtsp://:/<live_or_vod>/<camera_id>/<steam_id>

for example :

rtsp://10.4.24.69:554/live/8724d0df-1604-4754-8442-0354ae04afea/c9376220-de5b-4b3e-8343-9aefd26616f9

Of course absence of the stream_id parameter will select the default stream.

And without any other extension in the ONVIF configuration part (not providing any additional information of those available streams - second, third, etc).

Is this going to fulfill your requirements and needs ?

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

It is really appreciated!

Hi Petar

This would be exactly what I need. It would be great to have it

Thanks in advance

Thanks Rafael,

We will discuss with the PO when we can put it in the product road map.

Thanks a lot

Keep me informed, please

Best regards

Hi everyone.

there is now a new project that requires the open network bridge (or onvif bridge) to provide a second stream while leaving the main stream for normal use.

where was this request from Rafal left and was there a workaround we can provide to our customers?

Hi Cameron,

Unfortunately, Rafael request hasn’t been prioritized yet.

So the only solution right now is still change of the streams (and default stream) in the Management client.

Hi Cameron,

Do you still need the multi-streaming in the RTSP server ?

If yes, and you wish to participate in beta-testing, you could contact me via e-mail.
