For a particular application case, I have a need to modify an existing cloned configuration file and add entries in the generic event list. However, I need to be able to compute, offline, the value for the GUID of those entries but I am lacking the formula to compute those guids.
Is it document somewhere?

From the technical support perspective, these values are fixed by the developers. Are you working with the Milestone SDK?
Hello Paul, Thank you for your answer. In this particular case, we cannot work with the SDK since we are using a code base which is not compatible with .NET environments or C#. My basic purpose would be to enable my customer to generate an alternative configuration file using a simple tool that would be parsing a specific table in our SQL database and producing the modified XML fields. I have been able to generate appropriate XML fields quite simply only a few lines of code but I am not able to apply appropriate GUIDs to those events I add which, in turns, means that the file gets rejected.
