2020 R3, one camera in one hardware.
Let me elaborate a bit on this.
Milestone announced a new improved license model to be introduced with 2020R3 but unfortunately this change was postponed and will be introduced with 2021R1.
The ability to extend Driver Framework drivers to do multiple cameras in one hardware device is dependent on the new improved license model.
The expectation is to introduce the new improved license model with 2021R1 of the XProtect VMS and introduce the extended driver framework with MIP SDK 2021R1.
Thanks!
Now I have a test license with 2020R3, can I test multiple cameras in one hardware device in my driver developed by MIP SDK 2020R3?
And is there a maximum value?
No, this was postponed for 2020R3 and will be in 2021R1 if the plans are not changed again.
When you have the new XProtect VMS and Driver Framework there will be no limit (no software limit) to the number of cameras you can have in one hardware device.
But, you will have to wait until the new license model and changed framework is released.
OK,Thanks!
I will adjust our development plan.
