We are considering using RESTfull API integration as the most appropriate for our needs, but how to properly implement immediate notification to our server when some event happens, like door lock/unlock

This Rest API does not expose Access Control events. There will be a beta with added functionality when Milestone release 2023R3 but this will not expose Access Control events either. The functionality to expose Access Control events is on the backlog, right now we are not able to give a date when it willl be available.
