I am trying to introduce licencing in to our plugin and have added the plugin to our portal, with the correct GUID and name, i have also added a licence to the portal with the correct SLC for the test solution we have, i dont seem to be getting the licence picked up on the server, i have tried downloading and reapplying the lic file but it doesnt work. Anyone any ideas?
Do you have your plugin loaded in the Management Client (or Management Application) while activating? Do you see it in license details overview?
First troubleshooting could be to see the Management Client (or Management Application) logs -
“[C:\ProgramData\Milestone\XProtect](file:C:/ProgramData/Milestone/XProtect) Management Client\Logs\MIPtrace.log”
or
“[C:\ProgramData\Milestone\Milestone](file:C:/ProgramData/Milestone/Milestone) Surveillance\MIP2[yyyymmdd].log”
If the logs does not reveal something that leads to a solution I think you should have Milestone Technical Support analyse the license files. Do not mention your license in this public forum but open a support case.
Thanks Bo, I dont seem to have the first log file but the second ones dont seem to show anything. It does look as thought the plugin is starte at the time, and my licence just remains a demo licence as in the example for the SDK tools. I will open a support case now unless someone else has an idea or faced similar issues?
