I want to be able to build a binary protocol to retrieve alarms from an AID server (Flux from Traficon)Thanks in advance.Best Regards,T. BOUDIBA

My question is that I want to switch the main screen of my videowall any time we detect an AID event. I have to retrieve the AID event status from the server. The problem is that the SDK from traficon dialogue on a binary protocol based on TCP.

How can I start to be able to communicate with the AID server using binary protocol through the MIP library ?

How to communicate with the AID server is not the area of expertise for me or most users of this forum. I can only say that applications or plugins made with the MIP SDK are open to communicate with other things also.

Is your videowall your implementation or is it a Milestone Smart Wall?

If your videowall is your own you might be interested in displaying cameras from the Milestone VMS. Take a look at the Video Viewer sample.

If your videowall is Milestone you might be interested in pushing things to the Smart Wall. Take a look at the Video Wall Controller sample.

The situation might be something else, if I have misunderstood please elaborate what you would like to achieve.

Thank a lot for your response at first.

Of course I’m using the Milestone Smart Wall and I know how to generate rules to be able to push on the screens any camera according to the triggered event (or Alarm).

I’ve an Advanced Certification for Milestone Xprotect Corporate and actually I’m following elearning trainings about the MIP SDK and Visual Studio.

My question is : Trought MIP SDK and Visual Studio can we implement a binary communication protocol (byte) under TCP? are there already model codes ? Can I access an analytic application source code as model ?

By the way, if I’ll be able to generate some plug. Is it possible for Milestone to verify it ?

Doing communication with an external system like the AID server is possible in a plugin (or an service/application using MIP). There is no sample or model for this in the MIP SDK.

Milestone can verify integration solutions via the Milestone Certified Solution Program.
