we have developed a software that automates our daily video export, using Milestone SDK.
Lately this software behaves strangely, creating us problems that are not indifferent. Basically the problem is this:
BackupSoftware start exporting a day (I.e. 17 oct 2019 from 00.00 to 18 oct 2019 00.00), from 0% goes up to 100% saying that backup is complete without problems, errors or warnings. The result of this exportation is an incomplete backup that contains, perhaps, 5% of our real video.
Even stranger is that if I log into my Milestone Smart Client and try the exportation manually, using the same settings, results are identical: Incomplete backup without errors, warnings, not even a clue.
I can assume that the problem is not created by our software, but is something that comes from Milestone itself.
We also noticed that this problem occurs especially when, in a day recording, we got little “empty” parts. I try to explain in a better way;
Using the example above, starting from 17 oct 2019, 00.00, maybe my record stops at 04.33 and starts again in 04.39 to continue until 18 oct 2019 00.00. Well, my COMPLETED BACKUP will end 17 oct 2019 at 04.33, without showing any error or warning.
