Informations about Release PTZ and MIP SDK

Hello,

I had a question about the Release PTZ function ( https://doc.milestonesys.com/latest/en-US/standard_features/sf_mc/sf_mcnodes/sf_3devices/mc_reserveandreleaseptzsession_devices.htm ) which can be used inside the smart client but I can’t find anything about it and the lastest SDK, the only article I found is this one about 4 years ago saying that it wasn’t possible to use it from the SDK ( https://developer.milestonesys.com/s/question/0D53X00007UPtS8SAL/does-mip-sdk-or-protocol-support-function-to-reserverelease-ptz-session ).

So I wanted to know if this information is still available and so if “Release PTZ” still can’t be used in the latest SDK or if there is now a way to use it.

The links still provide up to date information.

So this is not supported in the MIP SDK still.

It might be a good idea if I make Milestone Product Management aware of this question, it could be considered to make enhancement development work in a future version of the MIP SDK. Before I forward it to them, maybe you can add a few words on the use case/business case, what you envision in form of a better integration if this functionality could be used?
