Installation of Smart Client without install the milestone server and license

I want to install the smart client on my PC to connect the Milestone Server. Due to the milestone server is not the most updated version, therefore, I cannot download the Essential license directly during the installation package. I would like to know if there’s any method to install the smart client without install the Milestone Server and the license.
