Installing API Gateway on a mobile server instead of Management server

How would I go about installing the API Gateway on a machine other than the management server? Is it as simple as just running the download path http://[management server address]/installation/Admin/default-enUS.htm on that machine and then uninstalling from management server or are there other configurations needed.

We are trying avoid port forwarding on the management server but be able to connect to the API Gateway externally.

What you suggest is the best way to install the XProtect API Gateway in another server.

Take care, you are not allowed to remove it from the Management Server (MS), some internal processes expect to find it there, but you can make sure that you use the API Gateway that is not on the MS for all you connections externally.
