We have recently bumped over a problem with our test installations of Milestone XProtect.
We are developing ivp6 support and one of the topics around is WSDD over ipv6 .
During adding new hardware, in express mode, we saw that XProtect does multicast a `Probe` to the v6 multicast group.
Our service makes a valid response.
XProtect, shows the found device and its ipv6 IP, however also errors the device as “wrong username or password” and makes no other requests to the server.
The wireshark traces show only `Probe` & `ProbeMatches` entries (multicast query and our response), nothing else.
Is there something in the configuration that needs to be enabled for this to work ?
Does it look like a bug on XProtect side ? Or ours ? I have double-checked we make an identical response in ipv6 as in ipv4 WSDD (with the `MessageID` differences of course.
No authentication takes place. So where does the ‘wrong username or password’ comes from ?
