Colleagues, we are the developer of the FF Data Factory software, which allows you to accumulate, display, and process data from ANPR cameras.
Our software uses its own database for processing and storing events and has a Web user interface. We have also developed a plugin that allows you to run our web interface inside the Milestone XProtect Client. To display the web interface, the built-in Milestone browser is used.
We have discovered some limitations of the built-in Milestone browser.
So, our software has the function of building reports and then export this report to a PDF file. Unfortunately, the export function in Milestone’s built-in browser does not work.
In a third-party browser such as Google Chrome or Firefox, saving PDF files works without problems.
We have seen that you are using Chromium browser as your built-in browser.
We also ran additional tests with the Chromium 93.1.11 browser installed on a PC. If the browser is launched as a desktop application, our functionality works.
Tell me, please, how can we solve the problem of downloading PDF files in the built-in browser Milestone XProtect client? Is it possible to remove the restriction on loading and saving reports? Also in our web interface, there is a function of using filters when searching for the necessary attributes of a car (specifically, you can select the type of vehicle and event source).
These filters are not applied in the built-in browser in Milestone.
In a third-party browser, the functionality works.
Is there a limitation of the built-in browser on the use of such functions?
