Is there a sample for protocol integration in Ubuntu platform?

Hi all,

We are trying to integrate our analytics engine with Milestone. Our analytics engine operates on Ubuntu so questions

  1. Is there a sample that describe how to integrate our Ubuntu engine with Milestone recording or image server. We need to retrieve video data and process it.
  2. The Integration scenarios in MiPs document where video stream is retrieved is Windows only. Is this the actual case?
