We have a group using the Moble Client that installs with Milestone and other groups using live streams using JS SDK. We are trying to reduce the loads on the Recording and Mobile Servers during high usage. I just read about Adaptive Streaming, which may also help. What do you recommend for this type of usage?

With the combination with adaptive streaming you will get the best results.
Direct streaming is a very good proposal to reduce the load.
I’d like to also answer the question in the title of this thread (Is there a way to share a single live stream across many users if viewing at the same time). No, there is no way to share a stream between multiple users.
