Is there any policy about installing third-party software on the same PC (not Husky devices) as XProtect server ?

I would like to know if there is a policy that allows 3rd party software to be installed and used on the same PC as XProtect depending on the PC specifications or disallows.

I understand that this is not recommended if you use the Husky device with related tickets.

According to “System Architecture Guide for IT Professionals.pdf”

It is stated that a system with 100 or less cameras will operate on one physical PC if the performance of the PC is sufficient.

We would like to install and use our software on the same PC with this configuration and would like to comment on this.

Our software also uses SQL Server. However, since it operates independently as another named instance, it does not logically affect the operation on the SQL server used by XProtect.

If this configuration is acceptable, provided that the PC specs are sufficient, we would like to test.

To my knowledge, Milestone systems do not have any recommendation for this. Be aware that the server/ SQL is overloaded then XProtect might malfunction.

Maybe you might want to ask Pre-Sales/Support about the configuration because they have had a lot of experiences regarding various install configurations. Please ask again in the support community, you should get better help from the partners using the support community.
