Is there any requirement on a minimum Xprotect licence level to be able to access your Xprotect servers from a third party application?

We have integrated the .NET protocol into our alarm receiving/CCTV monitoring system so our customers’ can monitor their clients’ sites which have Milestone units.

But during the tests, we are having difficulties to access Milestone systems with Xprotect Essencial+ installed on them. The returning errors from the SDK:

Does it happens because of the free version of the Xprotect suite is not supported by access from a 3rd party applications?

XProtect Essential+ is supported for use by the MIP SDK. Which means that the current products and versions of XProtect are all supported..

I would like you to test with the Smart Client first, does everything work the way you would expect? If not we must suspect something wrong with the installation or camera.

Then test using the sample in the MIP SDK that comes closest to what your application does, does it work? If not we must suspect the MIP SDK and gather information to debug this.

If the Smart Client and MIP SDK samples work we must suspect the code you implemented; try to tell what methods are used and what you observe when you debug..
